The Trump rally will occur on Juneteenth Day, when many Americans commemorate the end of slavery, in a city that was home to an infamous 1921 massacre of Black people, one of the worst racial atrocities in the nation’s history.

The Tulsa Race Massacre took place in May of 1921 when, for 18 hours, white mobs raced through the city’s “Black Wall Street” tossing Molotov cocktails, torching churches and hospitals.

Nearly 300 black people died.

(Los Angeles Times)

The utter lack of wisdom, discernment and leadership of this president. Coupled with the gaslighting from his Christian followers that his actions are free of racist intent, is insulting. It’s like you’re asking Black people to turn the other cheek so you can slap them across the face with your Bibles. Again.
